About Us

Our Founder, Jeanne Wokurka, is a 2-time breast cancer survivor.  Both battles were fought within 3 years, 2011-2014.  She's a true Fighter and we rarely saw her without a smile and a 'go get em' attitude!  We had heard from hospital staff that she was always a joy to have around and always kept the other patients smiling too.

Jeanne wanted to help give others access to things she needed and/or struggled to receive during both of her battles.  That was breast forms and wigs that are ridiculously expensive and sometimes not covered by insurance.

Also needed was someone to talk to that can relate to all of the emotions.  Many times, people just do not know what to say.  Sadly, many close contacts just up and leave for a number of reasons.  We can promise, we are here to stay.  Jeanne has even given out her own personal phone number!  

Lastly, while going thru her own journeys, she had so many wonderful friends and family members who would send her little 'lift me ups' in the mail.  Some even made meals for her!  While we don't offer meals, we do offer all of the above.  

Jeanne always says, "While God has allowed me not once, but twice to overcome this battle, I owe it to Him to pay it forward!"  Hence the creation of Fight Club Survivor.

Among the day-to-day expenses of running a business, contributions to Fight Club Survivor are used to support the various programs that have demonstrated an impact in helping women overcome their fears of the unknown while fighting for their lives.

Fight Club Survivor is a 501c3 charitable organization that is governed by a six-person board of directors. Our Executive Council board comprises of 6 individuals and up to 10 Fundraiser Volunteers who are charged with offering strategic advice and support for ongoing awareness, advocacy and fundraising efforts.  To view our EIN acceptance letter, please click here.
